The Competitive Spring Program had a very successful day at the Nipissing Invitational High School Track and Field Meet. The North Bay Legion Club registered eleven (11) athletes of middle and elementary school aged athletes to compete in the Novice Category (Grade Nine). Congratulations to the athletes who competed: Ayda Albert, Vanessa and Roman Aroh-Coombs, Lucy Courville, Alea Cullin, Shea and Lexi Gore, Sadie Murphy, Audrianna Pizzoferrato, Isabelle Popp, and Halle Scanlan.
The athletes accomplished seventeen (17) top 10 finishes:

3rd Place
4th Place
5th Place
6th Place
7th Place
8th Place
9th Place
10th Place
Outstanding performances were accomplished by: Vanessa Aroh-Coombs 12th in 100m, Lexi Gore 15th in Long Jump, Roman Aroh-Coombs 17th in 200m and 24th in 100m, and Lucy Courville 25th in 400m.
We will continue to train and prepare for the Royal Canadian Legion District H Meet June 21st.

Congratulations Everyone!
The North Bay Legion Track Club had a great day at the Royal Canadian Legion District H Meet in Sudbury! We had 48 athletes competing. Our bright blue and yellow singlets were readily seen in almost every event. Despite the lightning, thunder, and rain the day was highlighted with many outstanding athletic performances.
We had 91 top 6 place finishes, which included 21 gold medals, 16 silver medals, 18 bronze medals, 20 fourth place finishes, 9 fifth place finishes, and 7 sixth place finishes. A full set of results may be found on the Track North website.
Legion District H, records were achieved by three (3) North Bay Legion Track Club (NBLTC) athletes:
Audrianna Pizzoferrato won the U12 Ontario’s Fastest Kids 80 m race and has qualified as one of the eight finalists. The grand finale is set for Saturday, July 12th, at the Toronto Track and Field Centre as part of the Royal Canadian Legion Ontario Championships.
NBLTC qualified eight (8) athletes to be part of the District H Team at the RCL Track and Field Provincial Championships:
A big thank you to the Giroux’s, the Gore’s, the Popp’s, and coach Milne for bringing canopies to help keep us dry during the rain. Also, a big thank you to the overage athletes from the Club who helped throughout the day: Taryn Wozney, Heath Bradley, and Jackson Culin.

Must be selected by selection committee to compete at the meet. The qualifying meet is the District H meet in Sudbury on Saturday June 21, 2025.
More information to follow about this meet as the athletes selected will travel together with Legion chaperones.
